We stayed at Hotel de Brunville in Bayeux and found it to be a very functional, straightforward option for our party of five, on our drive back to Calais. We had two rooms, and everything was clean, calm, and well-maintained. Our andult kids enjoyed the outdoor pool, as a break from our driving. The showers were nice, the Wi-Fi worked well, and breakfast offered plenty of options to suit different tastes, which we appreciated. The best part of this hotel is undoubtedly its location. It’s just steps away from the main street of Bayeux, so as soon as you step outside, you’re greeted by the beauty and medieval architecture that make this town so special. It’s an ideal base for exploring the area. One minor downside was the shared reception between Hotel de Brunville and another neighboring hotel. It was a little confusing at first when we had to figure out which building our rooms were in, but once we found our way, everything was fine. The supporting staff were. Dry friendly. Overall, a good, quiet stay in a fantastic location for anyone looking to explore Bayeux, and driving around France

Hotel is very central to Bayeux and great for a location to cover all the Normandy / D day exhibits. There is a good size secure court yard at the rear with a key pad entry , we had motorcycles so this was very comforting to know the bikes were safe. My room over looked the car park and it was very quite and comfy. liked the coffee machine in the room and the bottled water was another nice touch. Rooms were cleaned well every day and the beds were really comfy and of a good size. All the staff I spoke to were pleasent and friendy, even with my rather bad French language skills. Interesting fact the hotel was comendered by the germans in the 2nd world war as a brothel, learnt that from a tour guide. Obviously nothing like that occurs here now its just an interseting fact. The counter current pool and the spa are a nice touch. Very happy with the price I paid. I would stay again.

Since we were traveling by car, having a secure parking area was important. However, we were charged extra ($16 euros) to park our car in their closed lot. The location was very good and made it easy to walk to city locations of interest in the city such as the Bayeux Tapestry. Travel to the Normandy Beaches was easy but required a car. Breakfast was good, however, some foods (like scrambled eggs) were taken by earlier guests before we arrived in the breakfast room and were not replenished for us.

The location was excellent - right in the centre of Bayeux, a 5 min walk from the Cathedral, and next door to a car park. The room was spacious and modern, with a large bathroom. Tea. coffee and water were provided in the room. It was very comfortable. It was a bonus to have the small pool with outdoor seating, unexpected in the city centre location, and the good weather meant we were able to use this facility.

This hotel is a sister hotel to the Hotel Luxembourg. The reception area is the same for both. The room I stayed in was tight even for one person. The room was clean but fairly generic. The breakfast was good but the breakfast room was pretty charmless. The hotel seemed a less expensive alternative to the Hotel Luxembourg, which was a good option for me. You had use of the heated pool, but it was fairly small.
